Islands in Time is a mixed media painting combining acrylic paint, inks and collage. It is presented in a simple black frame with a white floating mat showing the natural deckle edge of the 300# watercolor paper support. Notice the suggestion of houses at the edge of the island in the foreground. Cool blue water separates two bodies of land whose shores are flanking a passageway. Do you get the feeling the painting is in motion? That's the effect I wanted...like the movement of waves near the shore.
